Football, cheerleading registration underway

| July 25, 2014 9:00 PM

The Coeur d'Alene Community Upward Sports Flag Football and Cheerleading League is moving into its sixth season this fall.

The program serves families with children in kindergarten through sixth grade with flag football and cheerleading programs that are divided by age group. Upward Sports teaches children the skills of the sport and provides equal playing time in a postive framework. The program has a strong faith component, but is open to everyone in the community.

The goal this year is to welcome 200 children to participate in the league with games on Saturdays in September and October. Registration for flag football and cheerleading is due by Aug. 1. Participant evaluations take place on Aug. 4 and 5 at the Coeur d'Alene Church of the Nazarene.

Families can register online at www.cdanaz.org or call 667-3543 for information.
