| July 25, 2014 9:00 PM

The Coeur d'Alene Symphony announced its event lineup for the 2014-2015 season.

The symphony's five regular season performances will be at The Salvation Army Kroc Center Worship and Performing Arts Theater on Golf Course Road in Coeur d'Alene. Each concert will be presented twice, on Friday evening at 7:30, and again as a Saturday matinee at 2.

Oct. 10-11: Rossini's "Thieving Magpie Overture"; Mozart's "Symphonie Concertante," featuring Concertmaster Dr. Phillip Baldwin and Principal Violist Jay Prior; Dvorak's "Symphony No. 8."

Dec. 5-6: "Christmas At The Kroc" with Tchaikovsky's "Suite No. 3" and a whole lot of holiday favorites.

Jan. 23-24: "Family Fun at the Symphony" It's Movie Night, and kids younger than 18 are free with a paid adult, thanks to a grant from Kootenai Electric Cooperative.

March 13-14: "National Young Artists Competition Winners." Seven amazing young artists from around the country, winners of our competition in January, will perform with the orchestra.

May 1-2: The symphony's regular season finale includes Brahms' "Second Symphony" and a special performance by a soloist to be announced.

Two great free events are included in the upcoming season. First, the annual Labor Day Concert at the Rotary Bandshell in Coeur d'Alene City Park gets underway Sept. 1 at 1 p.m. The concert will feature pops, patriotic and casual classics. Organizers suggest bringing lawn chairs and blankets. Then in March, the symphony will host its Young Artists Competition and concert. Dates and times for that will be posted on www.cdasymphony.org.

Ticket prices for all Coeur d'Alene Symphony Kroc Center performances are $27/adult, $21/senior, $16/student and youth.

Season ticket prices - for the same seat for all five concerts are: $135/adult, $105/senior, $64/student and youth.

Tickets for the five regular season concerts will go on sale beginning Sept. 1.
