CDA: Litter leaves a bitter aftertaste

| July 23, 2014 9:00 PM

My wife and I visited your beautiful city recently. We loved the beauty and outdoor activities your city has to offer. We took the hiking trail around Tubbs Hill and enjoyed the natural beauty at every turn.

We were very distraught to see the amount of water bottles, cigarette butts, sandwich bags and litter along the path. These are not left by inconsiderate tourists, but by individuals that do not fully appreciate the beauty they have around them. The worst transgression was someone had collected their dog’s poop, put it in a plastic bag and then left it on the trail under a tree. People should carry out their trash, or have trash receptacles provided for those that expect someone else to clean up their mess.
