Permit issued for C.A.R.E. Painting

The city of Coeur d'Alene has granted a permit to Rathdrum resident John T. Gibson for a curb-painting business, C.A.R.E. Painting. The service involves painting address numbers on curbs outside residential buildings. Gibson notified The Press that he started the Rathdrum-based business to aid local emergency response agencies throughout Kootenai County in locating addresses quickly. The cost for the service is $20, and Gibson is reachable at (208) 691-7570.

The city office confirmed that the Gibson was issued a permit valid until June 24, 2015, authorizing the painting of curbs within the city limits of Coeur d'Alene. The city also said that curb painting is optional, that the $10 permit is available to home owners, and that all municipal emergency response vehicles are equipped with GIS mapping for locating addresses.

If you have a new, relocated or expanded business, or announcement of events, promotions or awards, The Press wants to let our readers know. The service is free and items run Tuesday through Saturday. Email City Editor Maureen Dolan at mdolan@cdapress.com.
