Feenstra fires final-round 61 to win Rosauers

LIBERTY LAKE - Tim Feenstra of Broadmoor Golf Club in Seattle tied the course record with an 11-under-par 61 on Sunday to win the 27th Rosauers Open Invitational by two strokes.

Feenstra, who was four shots off the pace entering the final round of the 54-hole tournament, notched seven birdies and two eagles, shot 69-70-61-200, 13 under par, and claimed the $11,000 top prize.

Drew McCullough of Meadow Springs Country Club in Richland, Wash., shot 74-63-65-202 and finished second. He was also low amateur.

David Phay, Mitch Runge, Corey Prugh and Scott Williams all tied for third at 9-under 204.

Former Coeur d'Alene High golfer Kyler Gable was second low amateur, finishing in a tie for seventh overall, shooting 67-70-68-205. Brent Walsh of the Coeur d'Alene Golf Club shot 67-69-69-205 and tied for seventh.

Other local finishers included amateur Reid Hatley (Hayden Lake CC), 67-73-66-206; Mark Poirier (The Highlands), 69-69-68-206; and Taylor Porter (Avondale), 70-72-70-212.
