Evans wins wild Montana 200

WHITEFISH, Mont. - Garrett Evans of Wenatchee, Wash., held off BJ Tidrick to win the Montana 200 late Saturday night at Montana Raceway Park.

Bodie Morton, Jeff Jefferson and Braeden Havens of Airway Heights rounded out the top five.

Evans and Jefferson are former Idaho 200 winners.

Spokane racers Dave Garber and Andy Brown were came home in 12th and 14th. Brown made the field via the last chance race.

Spokane's Shelby Thompson and Joey Bird and Nicole Behar of Otis Orchards were all involved in accidents on lap 10, and finished 20th, 23rd and 24th, respectively.

All the drivers mentioned above are expected to participate in the Idaho 200, which runs at Stateline Speedway on Aug. 2.
