40th Anniversary

Bud and Kay Sanders celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on July 13, 2014. Both are retired and enjoy fishing, gardening and traveling to Mexico.

ENGAGEMENT

Finney-Halliday

Jack and Darla Finney of Harrison of pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Brenda Finney to Darrin Halliday, son of Dick and Myrl Halliday of Coeur d'Alene. The couple lives in Huntington Beach, California.

Brenda graduated from Lake City High School and receiver her master's in nursing from Cal State Long Beach. She works at a clinic in Orange County. Darrin graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School and is studying finance and accounting at Cal State Fullerton.

The couple were to be united in marriage Saturday, July 19, 2014, in Post Falls.

BIRTHS

Dayson Jerrett Thomas Schilling was born at 5:20 p.m. July 1, 2014, to Mercedes Yevonne Carter and Hunter Lee Schilling of Coeur d'Alene. He weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and was 21 inches long. Sister is Violet Elizabeth Bernell Schilling. Maternal grandparents are Dave and Shirley Carter. Paternal grandparents are Walter and Cherri Schilling.

Bethany Louise Eby was born at 3:14 a.m. July 4, 2014, to Bobbi Blu and Nathan Lawrence Eby of Coeur d'Alene. She weighed 7 pounds, 4.5 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Ronald Leroy Bowers and Doris Elizabeth Zummerman. Paternal grandparents are Betty Lou and David Oneil Eby.

MISSIONARY

Nanette Arnold, of Coeur d'Alene, was recently called to serve a 12-month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Missouri Independence Mission in Independence, Missouri. She will leave for the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, on Aug. 9 for two weeks of training before her service begins.

Sister Arnold will serve as a Mission Nurse Specialist, helping to keep the Latter-day Saint Missionaries in that area healthy. She will support the missionaries in their work and also invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel. To help qualify her for this calling, Nannette has worked for 24 years as a Registered Nurse in Geriatric Care, Oncology, Home Health and Hospice. She has worked in Clinic Administration and teaching as adjunct faculty for Boise State University School of Technology and as an American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Instructor.

Previously, Nanette served a mission to the Caldwell Idaho Stake Mission. This time she was ready to go anywhere in the world, but feels that Independence is where her Heavenly Father wants her to be.
