DOG: Water guns for officers

| July 18, 2014 9:34 PM

Our police officers in Coeur d’Alene and some in Spokane seem to have a lack of backbone when police officers fear for their life when barked at by a black lab in a truck with a window rolled down halfway. They are without any question in a job they are not qualified to do. Fire him or her today.

We have several cases where people are shot when unarmed, or shooting someone with a knife 18 times when police officers are wearing bulletproof vests and several officers are present. Would it be too much to expect our officers have enough talent with a firearm to shoot the person once in a nonlethal way to stop the aggression, or use pepper spray? Whoever is hiring these people and is giving them permission to carry and use lethal force needs to be looked at as well. I have a concealed weapon permit and carry at times, and if my life is truly threatened I will use lethal force, but all the lab pups or any dog confined in a pickup with a window half down need not worry about getting shot.
