Delores L. Campbell, 82

Delores L. "Dee" Campbell, 82, passed away on July 7, 2014, at home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Dee was born on March 24, 1932, in Boise, Idaho, to Joe Zabala and Hazel Dyer Zabala. She was raised in Ogden, Utah, graduating from Ogden High School in 1950. That same year, on September 4, Dee married Nolan Harris; they had three children.

Dee later moved to Emmett, Idaho, and married Vern Campbell; they had another child. Dee and Vern owned and operated Speros Rexall Drug for many years in Emmett.

While visiting Coeur d'Alene, Dee was captivated and moved to the area permanently in 1986. She worked as a pharmacy technician for her daughter and son-in-law at Medicine Man West Pharmacy in Post Falls until she retired.

Dee loved North Idaho with its scenic beauty, amazing waterways and friendly people. She especially enjoyed talking to people and getting to know them. Dee felt truly blessed to live in this area.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Zabala, and Lewis and Hazel Cooper; son, Randy Harris; and husband, Vern Campbell. Dee is survived by daughter, Michele Harris, and grandson, Aaron Dike, of Lynnwood, Wash., daughter and son-in-law, Kathie and Don Smith, and granddaughter, Jennifer Webster, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Samantha Campbell, and grandson, Randy Campbell, of Auburn, Wash.

At Dee's request, there will be no memorial; however, she did ask for a family picnic in her memory to take place at a later date.
