Donna Mae McDonough, 65

Donna Mae McDonough, 65, died from cancer on July 6, 2014, at Oregon Health and Science University Hospital in Portland, Ore., with family and friends by her side.

Donna was born July 9, 1948, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Walter and Vesta Metsker. She was the youngest of three girls. Donna and her sisters enjoyed a rich life with their fun loving parents in Spirit Lake, Idaho.

Donna was well respected in her professional career but, more importantly, she enjoyed an amazing life with family and friends. Early on, she was employed as a social worker; she retired as an instructor at Clackamas Community College.

Donna enjoyed traveling the world, playing scrabble, reading, and watching her two granddaughters grow up. She valued family, friendship, loyalty and kindness.

Donna is survived by her husband, Pat; son, Sean; daughter-in-law, Amber; two grandchildren, Hadley and Eila; and sisters, Carole Wilhelm and Lynda Schultz.

A Celebration of Life honoring Donna will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, July 21, at Abernathy Center, 606 - 15th St., Oregon City, Ore.
