3 remain hospitalized after bus crash
GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. - Three people injured when a tourist bus flipped on its side while traveling through Grand Teton National Park remained in the hospital Saturday.
Two people were being treated at the Eastern Idaho Medical Center in Idaho Falls where they were listed in fair condition Saturday, hospital spokesman Karen Connelly said.
Another person remained at St. John's Medical Center in Jackson, Wyo., in good condition, Connelly said.
The bus was carrying 26 tourists and a driver when the accident occurred about 4:10 p.m. Thursday. The bus was traveling on U.S. 89 to Yellowstone National Park.
Woman on scooter killed in accident
CALDWELL - The Idaho State Police said a 48-year-old woman died in a collision between a motorized scooter and a car on a Caldwell street.
Authorities identified the victim as Brenda Sisco of Caldwell.
According to Idaho State Police, Sisco was attempting to cross a street on her scooter at about 10:25 p.m. Friday when she was struck by a car.
Police identified the driver of the car as an 18-year-old Nampa man. No one else was hurt.
Science conference set for October
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. - This year's Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem science conference will focus on the challenges and opportunities posed by crossing environmental, disciplinary and jurisdictional boundaries.
The Biennial Scientific Conference is scheduled for Oct. 6-8 in Mammoth Hot Springs.
The conference series began in 1991. Its goal is to encourage awareness of wide-ranging work on the Yellowstone region's natural and cultural resources.
