Prairie triumphs again

CENTRALIA, Wash. - Dalton Strong drew a bases-loaded walk in the fifth inning to give the Cardinals the lead for good in a 7-4 win over the Minnesota Blizzard in pool play of the Seattle Showcase tournament at Fort Borst Park.

Prairie (18-18), 2-0 in pool play, concludes pool play today against the RBI Bandidos at 8 a.m., then faces the top-seed from Pool K in bracket play at 6 p.m.

Kenny Cooper went 2 for 2 with two RBIs and Logan Bruner struck out eight for Prairie.
