Ronald W. Fleer, 86

Ronald W. Fleer, 86, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2014, at the Hospice House of North Idaho.

Ronald was born on June 22, 1928, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Christian parents, Lloyd Leland Fleer and Viola Schiller Fleer. He married Janet M. Stiley in October of 1954, and they would have celebrated their 60th anniversary this year.

Ronald served honorably in the Navy during the Korean conflict aboard the aircraft carrier Philippine Sea. As a graduate of UCLA, Ronald's career was as an Electronics Engineer in the Aerospace Industry. He lived in his cabin in the woods on the east side of Lake Coeur d'Alene for 16 years.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters: Cindi Stribling (Skeet), Terese Smith (Dennis), Denise Morgan (Jaye), and Christi Carlisle (Mike); grandsons: Dan, Darrell, Derek, Devon, Kyle, Keith, Dustin, Drew and Doug; granddaughter, Roxanna; nine great grandchildren; brother, Richard Fleer (Naomi); brother-in-law, Robert Crowe; niece, Karen; and nephews: John, Rick and Gary.
