IRONMAN: Right way to do it

With regards to a few negative remarks about the Ironman triathlon ahtletic event recently held here in Coeur d'Alene, say what you want. At least Ironman 1) pays its bills, 2) gives back to the community (this year they donated over $75,000 to local charitable groups, Boys & Girls Club, and children learn to swim safety programs), 3) picks up after itself. The same cannot be said of some other activities that involve lake/community use.
Thank you to all the Ironman volunteers, Coeur d'Alene city and residents, and to all athlete participants. Well done.
