• Wastewater discharge seen in Lake Cd'A

As much as 1,200 gallons of untreated domestic wastewater were discharged Sunday when a wastewater lift station overflowed near Kidd Island Bay, the Harbor View Estates Water and Sewer District said in a press release Thursday.

The lift station overflowed due to a faulty check valve and a wet well-pump restraint, the release said. The water was reportedly contained in an adjacent, undeveloped parcel and the district said the site has been remediated.

"No public health impacts to any drinking water systems are anticipated and there was no discharge to surface waters," according to the district, which notified both the Idaho DEQ and EPA.
