Transient accused of stealing pizza, unlawful entry, crazy talk

| July 3, 2014 9:00 PM

POST FALLS - Gregory Towner wanted a slice of pizza before he went to be picked up by his "lord almighty father."

But it was where the 48-year-old transient chose to get the pizza on Tuesday night that caught the attention of the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office.

Towner allegedly entered a Post Falls home and ate pizza while talking to the resident's 10-year-old daughter about God, a sheriff's office incident report states.

After Towner left the home, the residents called the sheriff's office and reported the intrusion. Deputies found Towner standing across the street from the home.

When asked by a deputy what he was doing, Towner said he was "waiting for my lord almighty father to come and pick me up."

"Don't you see the arch angles (sic) flying, the end of days is here," Towner continued, according to the report.

Towner, the report states, then pointed to an empty hay field and asked the deputy if he "saw the houses closing in on us."

The deputy said he did not, the report states.

After questioning the transient, who according to the report has multiple alert codes of violence against officers, was placed in handcuffs and charged with unlawful entry.
