Gloria Saccomanno, 79

Gloria Jean Saccomanno, 79, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away July 1, 2014, at Garden Plaza Assisted Living, in Post Falls, Idaho.

Gloria was born July 6, 1934, in Priest River, Idaho, to Anthony and Josephine Jachetta. She met Albert Saccomanno and they were married October 6, 1956, in Priest River, Idaho.

Together, Gloria and Albert raised two daughters. They were married 42 years when Albert passed away. Gloria worked as a school teacher for over 40 years until her retirement. She later volunteered at Holy Family Catholic School in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, so she could continue working with children.

Gloria loved reading, going to the movies, walking, butterflies, and anything purple.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in December 1998; daughter, Sharon Saccomanno, in 2001; parents, Anthony and Josephine; and brother, Tom Jachetta.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Rosemarie (Rick) Probasco, of Post Falls, Idaho.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft Ave., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, with a reception following at the church. Bell Tower Funeral Home, Post Falls, is entrusted with arrangements.
