Hydro races permit denied by KCSO

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office has denied the water event permit for the Diamond Cup races that had been scheduled for Labor Day weekend east of Coeur d’Alene on Lake Coeur d’Alene.

According to Sheriff Ben Wolfinger, organizers of the event failed to meet several of the required criteria for the event by today's deadline, a KCSO press release states.

"Mr. Miller, the organizer, was sent an e-mail early this morning informing him of this decision," the press release states.
