Josephine 'Jo' Louisa Fusch, 89

| January 30, 2014 8:48 AM

Jo was born in Missoula, Montana, on July 30, 1924, and passed away in Coeur d'Alene, on January 27, 2014. She was born to Lillian and James McIntyre, and married Delmar R. Fusch in 1943 after a six day courtship.

Together they have three children: Diane Wilkerson, Bob (Vickie) Fusch, and Sue (Richard) Simons; nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Jo, Del, and family were very involved in service to the Lord through missionary work and involvement in their church. Jo was also secretary for The Church by the Side of the Road in Seattle, Washington, for many years. She spent the last years of her life living at Heritage Place in Coeur d'Alene, where she had many friends. There she spent her time volunteering and playing the piano for residents in the dining room and chapel.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Del; her brother Lester MyIntyre; and two sisters, Monty Fletcher and Mildred Baughman.

A "Celebration of Life" is planned this coming spring in Seattle, Washington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to Hospice of North Idaho, Heritage Place, or Coeur d'Alene Homes. We are grateful for the loving care shown to both of our parents by these organizations.
