MAYOR: Thanks to one and all

My family and I want to deeply thank everyone that made my retirement week last week a most unforgettable one. I want to thank my wife and family for their great support for so many years! Between Tuesday night and Thursday night, it really made my retirement a very positive one, and all of the comments, emails, phone calls and personal contacts were appreciated.

Special thanks for all the presentations/gifts from so many to “send me off.” My extended City Family did an impressive job on the portion of the agenda honoring my service. The staff at the Senior Center provided a great venue, and the turn out for both nights was beyond belief. I have been very humbled to serve the city as both a councilman (5 years), and for 13 years as mayor.

The city is in excellent and experienced hands, and they will keep the progress continuing. Mayor Jacobson, the council and the staff will work extra hard to make our city a place where businesses and families want to live, work and play. We can all look forward to a prosperous and inspirational journey.
