Dawn was born November 15, 1977, in Billings, MT. She spent her younger years running free and enjoying the open Montana skies at Canyon Ranch in Pryor, MT. Even as a child, Dawn had a great affinity for the natural world and the beauty of the simple things in life.

Her family moved to Eureka, MT, in 1990 where they continued their ranching and farming tradition. Dawn spent a lot of memorable years riding her beloved horse Cody, participating in O-mok-see and 4H. She spent her days making memories with her two sisters as well as hanging out with close friends. Dawn graduated from Eureka High School in 1996.

After graduation, Dawn moved to Coeur’d Alene, ID, where she attended classes at North Idaho College pursuing a degree in Graphic Design. Dawn’s life took a challenging and difficult turn in 1998 when she was diagnosed with leukemia. Dawn was a fighter, and even when it looked like she was losing the battle, she held her ground. Thanks to a successful bone marrow transplant and the support of her loving family and friends, she went into remission in 2000. Her family celebrated Dawn’s bone marrow birthday every year on February 22, feeling blessed that she was still with them.

Dawn spent the last 14 years living in Coeur d’Alene where she enjoyed family gatherings, spending time with friends, meeting new people, and enjoying the natural beauty and inspiration that North Idaho provides. She enjoyed crafting, painting, and photography, and was a very talented artist using a variety of mediums. Many of her creations will forever adorn the halls and walls of her friends' and familys' homes.

Her boyfriend, Zach, whom she met in 2010, became the focal point of Dawn's life. They spent many wonderful days in each other’s company camping, floating the river, and fishing whenever they got the chance. She will be missed by many, and there will forever be a void where there once was laughter, or a new word that she creatively invented.

Rest In Peace dear Dawn Marie, and someday we’ll all gather again as a family to continue the journey we started. We love you, sweet dreams.
