Rick Corombes

A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, Rick Kim Corombes, 58, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 9, 2014.

He was born November 29, 1955, in Los Angles, CA. In 1973 Rick graduated from Inglewood High School in California. In 1979 Rick married his soul mate, best friend, and wife, “Christi.”

Rick was a free spirit, larger than life, who lived life on his terms. He loved to be free - free to take and produce amazing photography and be outdoors (avid gardener). He was such a generous soul who received great pleasure and joy from sharing all that he had.

Rick could always make a negative situation in life become a positive one. He was more than a man ... a gentleman in the highest regard! He will be remembered by so many as a ray of sunshine that ALL should always carry with them forever.

He is survived by his wife, Christi, of 39 years; daughter, Tana Corombes of Coeur d’Alene; son, Eric Corombes of California; brother, Terry Corombes of California; and grandson Dominic Mazzali. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter (10 days old), Kelly Ann Corombes, in 1979; his parents, Thomas Corombes and Evelyn Kieth; and brother Jim Corombes.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Elk’s Lodge, 1170 W. Prairie Ave., Coeur d’Alene, from 5-9 p.m. Rick’s family would love to express their deepest thanks to Hospice of North Idaho.
