• Free webinar on ACA and nonprofits

A free webinar about the Affordable Care Act, Your Health Idaho, and how they affect nonprofit employers will be offered Monday at 9 a.m.

Jody Olson, director of communications and marketing for Your Health Idaho, the state's web-based health insurance marketplace, will provide an overview of the ACA and answer questions. Register online by visiting www.idahononprofits.org, and click on the link under "Upcoming Events."

• Rathdrum hires city planner

RATHDRUM - Don Skillingstad has been hired as the Rathdrum city planner.

Skillingstad, who started work Monday, formerly worked for the now-defunct private civil engineering firm of CLC Associates in Spokane for eight years.

He also worked for 10 years as the planning director for Okanogan County in Washington and for two years as the city planner for Airway Heights west of Spokane.

Among Skillingstad's first tasks will be reviewing Rathdrum's zoning ordinances.

Skillingstad replaces Chris Rife, who retired in December.
