Voters, on your mark...
Put the inaugural Best of North Idaho Expo in the books. Yesterday's event at The Coeur d'Alene Resort was a hit, but the popular process of citizens honoring the best in their community now switches to your fingertips.
To vote, all you have to do is go to cdapress.com and enter your choice for each category on the ballot. You'll see a tab in the upper right portion of the website labeled "Best of" - click on that and dive right in.
There are 80 categories for you to choose from; vote on as many or as few categories as you like, but know that you can cast only one vote in each category. Managers of Best of North Idaho have gone to great lengths to cut out duplicative votes or, as some refer to it, stuffed electronic ballots. They're intent on ensuring that the winners of each category truly represent the will of the general populace.
Voting will end at midnight Jan. 31, so don't dally.
In February, the votes will be tallied and verified. In March, the winners will be notified and the results published in the annual Best of 2014 Guide. Each winner will receive artwork to use in their marketing and advertising materials. They will also receive an engraved plaque to display at their business.
Consumers often refer to the Best of Guide when deciding which businesses to frequent. It's an at-a-glance list of the best places to go for food, for real estate, for dental work - for just about anything. Please participate to ensure that the very best North Idaho has to offer is put on this prestigious stage.
