Rex Allan Clary, 58

| January 6, 2014 11:57 AM

Born March 10, 1955; died January 1, 2014. Rex was born in Spokane and raised in Spirit Lake, ID, the first born of Eugene and Laurene Clary. He graduated with honors from Lakeland High School. He played football and was an avid pole vaulter. Rex’s work in construction took him to many places, including Hawaii for several years.

Rex was one of a kind. He loved to laugh and always had a joke or funny story to cheer you up. He loved life and made the most of it. He had a passion for music. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Rex was a Seahawks fan from the very beginning, and had been elated with their success this season. He was planning a trip to Canton, Ohio, with a good friend to see the NFL Hall of Fame this spring, saving nickels and dimes to pay for the trip. We hope he can see it from a better place now.

Rex is survived by his mother, Laurene Clary; brother, Richard E. Clary; sister, Christi Liese; long time girlfriend Shawn Hauck, nephews: Jason Craner, Christopher Clary, and Cameron Clary; great-nephews: Kadin and Ryan Craner; and beloved four-legged children Kunta and Missey.

A memorial service to celebrate Rex’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, at the Spirit Lake Senior Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Kootenai Humane Society, P,O, Box 1005, Hayden, ID, 83835. Visit Rex’s online memorial atwww.englishfuneralchapel.com
