HART: Makes a big difference
I’m a lifetime resident of Coeur d’Alene, and unfortunately visited the Kootenai County Public Safety Building on the wrong side of the bars.
During my stay at the facility I was an inmate worker, working closely with some sheriff deputies serving meals and helping with some daily operations of the jail. I guess you could say that you see a side of the deputies that you otherwise wouldn’t.
One deputy in particular is Deputy Hart. He is making a huge difference in people’s lives one inmate at a time. I can personally account for numerous times that Deputy Hart has gone out of his way to help someone in need. Whether it’s talking to a Chaplain, or trying to get someone housing, warm clothing, or food once released.
He related personal experiences with these inmates and earns a great deal of respect. Meanwhile taking his personal time to give a helping hand to someone in need.
Why propose a new jail on the taxpayer’s dime? Hire and train more people like Deputy Hart. It makes a difference!
