Ingeborg Kaplan, 83

| February 21, 2014 11:04 AM

Ingeborg Kaplan passed away at 2:30 p.m., February 11, 2014.

Ingeborg was born as Ingeborg Stuetz in Erzgebirge, Czechoslovakia, on March 24, 1930. She moved to Germany after the war, then came to America where she studied to become a nurse, eventually meeting the love of her life, Irvan Kaplan, in Los Angeles, Calif. They married in 1958 and had two children.

Irvan and Ingeborg started with nothing, took a gamble on a business venture, and became very successful. This business took them from California to Pennsylvania and eventually back to California, this time in the Bay Area. After retiring, they decided on Idaho in 1999 as their final destination, where they could relax and enjoy life with family and their two German Shepherds.

Ingeborg loved travel and her home. Anyone and everyone that came to her house would stay for hours; she loved to entertain, cook and bake.

We would like to thank Father Roger; Mom’s angel helpers: MaryAnn, Fely, Burnedette, and Gail; Auburn Crest Hospice, and Yates Funeral home for all their help, love and patience during this last journey with Mom. She and we are truly grateful.

Rest in peace Mom, and know you are loved. Yates Funeral Home is entrusted with the care of final arrangements. Please visit Ingeborg’s memorial and sign her online guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com
