LETTER: Welcome to Flat Earth club
I would like to respond to the letter Mr. Hansen wrote not liking what Mr. Kavanagh and I wrote about the president. I will let Mr. Kavanagh respond if he wishes to Mr. Hansen’s retort.
I read the same thing you did about Mr. Beck. I know it’s no excuse, but he did have a rough childhood and it did carry into his adult years when he abused alcohol and drugs. Nobody deserves a second chance? I think he has done very well for himself, starting a fledging business on his own. His company made $90 million last year. Is something wrong that the only class he took in college was religion?
If I’m not mistaken, your No. 1 capitalist Mr. Gates also did not finish college and smoked pot, but I think he had help from his father with money. If I’m wrong I stand corrected. I guess you can add Steve Jobs to a successful career even though he also smoked pot.
In the last paragraph of your letter to me and Mr. Kavanagh, you wrote about the “Flat Earth Society.” A few people in North Idaho might be interested in joining. Are you in charge of recruiting?
