LONGVIEW, Wash. - Panisesi Taimani had 22 points and five rebounds for the North Idaho Cardinals, which lost their final game of the Lower Columbia Holiday Classic to the Umpqua Riverhawks 75-71 on Tuesday.

Mariah Swanson had 14 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists for NIC (11-5), which returns home to face Trinity Western on Friday at 5:30 p.m.

"Umpqua is a good team," NIC coach Chris Carlson said. "That could very well win the NWACC this year. We just didn't have a total team effort, that was the hard part. We've got work to do."

Swanson was selected to the all-tournament team.
