NAMPA (AP) - Police in Nampa said a semi-truck driver from Oklahoma was stabbed and had to be hospitalized after a man attacked him with a knife.
KTVB reported that the stabbing occurred just after 11 p.m. Wednesday at a Nampa truck stop.
Nampa Police Sgt. Joe Ramirez said the 45-year-old male driver stepped out of his truck when he noticed a young man near his vehicle. The suspect then stabbed the trucker in the chest and slashed his forearm.
The driver told police that he knocked the knife from other man's hand, which caused the suspect to run away.
Police did not immediately release the driver's name.
The suspect was described as about 5-foot-9 with medium build with no facial hair and around 18 years old.
