Jared T. Massie, 34

May 19, 1980 - Dec. 14, 2014

Jared passed away on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at home.

He attended schools in Post Falls, Idaho, and Park Rapids, Minn. Jared was always athletic and played baseball, football and basketball throughout his school years. As an adult, he became an avid disc golfer, playing in leagues and tournaments. He was passionate about the sport because it fulfilled his love of the outdoors, athletics and the companionship of his fellow players. He was also teaching his twin sons the art of the game.

Corbin Park in Post Falls was Jared's favorite place to golf, fish and float the river. Jared worked throughout the Northwest as a skilled Sheetrocker and carpenter.

Jared is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Massie, of Post Falls; daughter Autumn of Greenacres, Wash., twin sons Lazarus and Levee of Post Falls; stepsons Justin and Andrew; mother and stepfather Sally and Dave Heston of Parker, Colo.; father Tim Massie of Ford, Wash.; brothers Travis Massie of Mount Pleasant, S.C. and Elijah Massie of Aurora, Colo.; grandparents Kaye Massie of Belfair, Wash., and Raymond Massie of Virginia; Burnell and Frieda McGlocklin of Hayden; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, at Real Life Ministries, 1866 Cecil Road, Post Falls, in Upper Room No. 301.
