VETERANS: Sad day for the VA

On Wednesday I attended a town hall meeting at the American Legion Hall No. 143 in Post Falls, to discuss issues with the V.A. I have to say that I was never so disgusted as I was at the ineptitude of the representatives speaking at this forum.

Two women from the Spokane V.A. seemed to be totally unprepared for the flak they received, in the time they spoke, by disgruntled G.I.’s. All this went on while the representatives from D.C. stood off to the side and did nothing.

While there was a mild attempt to convince some individuals that they would be personally taken care of, in general it was a shouting match. I walked away early, feeling as though this is by design under this White House administration. It disheartens me to think that our warriors do not have the support of our Commander in Chief.
