TRAPPING: Time for lawsuit, folks
First of all, thank you Mr. Nolthenius, Mr. Martin and Ms. Sorenson for your letters against trapping. I have written at least six letters against trapping in the last year. Apparently we are wasting our time and newspaper space.
I was going to go to that charade meeting that Fish and Game held and then I thought this is just a P.R. scam and they are going to do whatever they want. Apparently Ms. Sorenson was right: It’s all about politics and money.
I have nothing against hunting and fishing; in fact I do both. I think the only way anything is going to get done is to take this matter to federal court.
There are five or six animal rights groups that stopped a group hunt in the Salmon area. If a group of us contacted them maybe they could help us file suit in federal court to stop all trapping on BLM and federal forest lands, making it safe for our families and pets.
Fish and Game can solve this problem but if they can’t, then I guess it’s time for the courts to handle it.
