Maciosek goes 3-0 for Viks at tourney
BOISE - Kaleb Maciosek won all three of his dual matches at 106 pounds for the Coeur d'Alene Vikings, who won one of three duals on the opening day of the Buck's Bags tournament Friday at Capital High.
Coeur d'Alene beat Meridian 37-29 in the final dual of the day after losing to Pasco 51-33 and Centennial 51-15.
"The duals that we were in weren't easy," Coeur d'Alene coach Jeff Moffat said. "We've got some guys that are getting their feet wet, but it was good to see them compete."
Drew Gorringe (145), Colton Johnson (160), Anthony Reimer (170) and Jake Lunceford (285) each went 2-1 on the day for Coeur d'Alene.
Coeur d'Alene was also scheduled to face Fruitland, but due to Pasco arriving late due to slick roads, the teams will wrestle this morning before the bracketed tournament begins.
