FUND: Thanks for donations for Dave

Dear Mr. Patrick et al.

We as a family would like to extend our thanks to all the family, friends, and community who have taken the time to care and to donate to the Gove Kidney Benefit Fund. We'd also like to thank all the same for their prayers, meals, gifts, emails, and phone calls of support. The kindness shown to the Gove families has been simply unbelievable! Thank you.

The medical costs for both families, but more for Dave the recipient, are astronomical - to say the least. But, the life of a father, husband, son, brother, coach, mentor, and friend has been saved. We thank you, our community for helping make his life worthwhile.

A HUGE thanks to the doctors and staff, as well. We recognize the miracle performed by University of Washington doctors, Dr. Rayhill and Dr. Leca AND their team of supporting doctors and nurses, and other staff members for Dave's transplant from donor and sister Shayna.

We also want to thank his local doctor, Dr. Miekle, of the Rockwood Clinic, Spokane and Coeur d'Alene.

Dave will be traveling back and forth for tests every week from Hayden (or GEG Int'l Airport-Spokane) to the UW in Seattle, for an undetermined amount of time.

We left the biggest thanks for last, and with that said, we thank our GOD and Father for His guidance, love, and comfort, and once again, for all of you. You are amazing!

THE GOVE KIDNEY BENEFIT FUND IS STILL RECEIVING DONATIONS AT ANY STCU BRANCH, FOR ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO DONATE.

Grateful,

THE GOVE and HANSON FAMILIES

GRIEF CAMP: Thanks to our supporters

Thank you for Camp Kaniksu!

Camp Kaniksu, Hospice of North Idaho's third annual grief camp for children and teenagers took place July 11-13 at Lutherhaven on Lake Coeur d'Alene. On behalf of the staff, volunteers, and those we serve, I would like to thank our generous community for making Camp Kaniksu, a huge success. Because of your support, Camp Kaniksu was able to provide 26 grieving children with a place to connect with others, learn about the grief process and honor their loved ones at no charge to their family.

Thank you to our benevolent sponsors, Idaho Community Foundation, Cancer and Community Charities, Post Falls Kiwanis and Windermere Foundation, and to our donors, Costco, Albertsons, Safeway, Walmart and Fred Meyers for making this weekend possible.

Children are called "forgotten grievers," as they deal with and process grief in a way that can be overlooked by adults. The third annual Camp Kaniksu was a special time to focus on the unique needs of children and teenagers facing the loss of someone close to them. Thank you to all who supported this special weekend that truly made a huge difference to children in our community.

Peaceful Day,

KIM RANSIER
