THE FRONT ROW WITH JASON ELLIOTT: Aug. 30, 2014

I'll admit it, I'm a little greedy.

After watching the Seattle Seahawks run away with the franchise's first Super Bowl championship in February, I don't expect anything less than a repeat performance this season in Glendale, Ariz.

Well, maybe a little closer this time.

IF NOTHING else, getting the chance to see what a fully-healthy Percy Harvin can do in this offense might be a lot of fun.

Last year, Harvin only played in three games, against Minnesota in the regular season, then again for playoff games against New Orleans and Denver.

He played sparingly against Minnesota and New Orleans, and outside of a couple big plays on reverses and the kickoff return to start the second half, you almost would have forgotten he was on the roster.

Gone are Golden Tate and Sidney Rice, though Rice missed a good chunk of time last year as well, and retired right before the start of training camp this year. Tate, who was a key piece in the championship puzzle, signed with Detroit in the offseason. Rice retired shortly before training camp opened.

With Harvin, it seems like the team is gaining a player in free agency with the amount of time he missed a season ago, so if he's healthy - and he appears to be once again - it will be interesting to see just what he can do in his intended role with the team.

AS FAR as the rest of the NFC West, the other teams have already been struck by the injury bug.

Thanks to his injury in last year's NFC championship game, NaVorro Bowman will miss at least the first eight games for San Francisco, and fellow linebacker Aldon Smith will sit out the first nine after being suspended on Friday for a series of issues not related to playing football.

Both won't miss either Seattle game however, with those coming in the final five weeks of the season.

St. Louis was counting on Sam Bradford to have a good year to go along with that great defense, but he was lost to a torn ACL, the same injury that ended his 2013 season after a strong start.

Arizona lost defensive tackle Darnell Dockett two weeks ago to a torn ACL, and he won't play this season either.

Unlike some experts that believe the Seahawks will run right through the division, it's still early.

While the other guys have had setbacks, Seattle hasn't been hit with them quite yet.

They will, in some form, but it really sets up for them to make a run once again.

And I understand that no Super Bowl champion has repeated since New England in 2004 and 2005, and the last in the NFC was the Dallas Cowboys 20 years ago.

They say all good things must come to an end.

I just don't see the Seahawks' run ending anytime soon.
