NIC wrestlers to give away school supplies

| August 25, 2014 11:21 AM

The North Idaho College wrestling team is giving away school supplies to K-12 students from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Village at Riverstone across from Aeropostale. Supplies will be given out while they last on a first-come, first-served basis.

Anyone who wishes to contribute to the effort is asked to drop off donations such as school supplies or money at Escape Outdoors retail store and Well-Read Moose Bookstore in Riverstone during working hours Aug. 25-26.

Donations will also be accepted in the Christianson Gym lobby or Gym Office 123.

This is the second year for this event, which attracted hundreds of families last year. The NIC wrestling team raises funds through T-shirt sales and donations for its “We Care” program. Members and coaches of various NIC athletic teams will be on-hand to pass out school supplies. Free Dominos pizza donated by Jim and Missy Hightower will also be given away.
