AGENDA: Open-minded, considerate

| August 24, 2014 9:00 PM

I could not leave Beth Hanes letter go unchallenged. I agree with her on one point that Sholeh does appear to have an agenda. That agenda, in my opinion is an open-minded, considerate view to getting people thinking about being less bigoted as in regard to religion. We are, all of us God’s children. He has created all of us and is not the cause of what has happened to bring about this divisive behavior among his children.

Sholeh is doing her best to help us to learn to be more accepting of the differences between our choices. That is what they are, our choices in how we wish to believe. Which messengers of God we wish to follow. Sholeh is not promoting Christian Science, she is merely trying to get people to understand that view point. What drives a proponent of one religion to ridicule or fight another is generally fear; and fear is engendered by lack of understanding.

If, indeed, we wish to have peace on this Earth, we need to understand and accept each others differences. The Coeur d’Alene Press and the Patrick family has done far more than their share of trying to expose other’s viewpoints, that this process might evolve further. Sholeh has given the same treatment to other faiths, such as Islam and my own faith, that of the Baha’i faith. I appreciate her for that.
