• Fugitive sought on possession charge

The North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking information leading to the apprehension of Johnny Preston Carr.

Carr, 48, is being sought based on a Kootenai County felony warrant charging him with failure to appear on possession of a controlled substance charge. This is a $75,000 bond warrant with United States extradition.

Carr is a 6-foot-5, 290-pound white male with blue eyes and brown hair, last known to be living in Post Falls.

Anyone with information regarding Carr or other fugitives being sought for violent crimes should call the North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force at (208) 665-4455.

The identity of callers will remain confidential and a reward may be available.

• No Honeysuckle Beach lifeguards starting Monday

Honeysuckle Beach in Hayden will no longer be staffed with lifeguards after Sunday.

The boat launch will remain open. Boat launch fees are in effect year-round.
