ANNIVERSARY

Bennie and Carol Kircher

65th Anniversary

Bennie "Ben" R. Kircher and Carol L. (Kateron) Kircher, of Coeur d'Alene, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. They were married Aug. 5, 1949, at The Hitching Post in Coeur d'Alene.

Ben and Carol lived in Fairbanks, Alaska, from 1951-1952 where Ben served in the Air Force at Ladd Field. Ben and Carol started traveling in 1984 and have enjoyed Hawaii, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Mexico, along with 16 cruises and many U.S. trips.

Ben was self-employed in construction and the owner of a number of auto service stations in Spokane. He was also a purchasing agent for a manufacturing business in Spokane and R.C. Worst & Co., Inc. in Coeur d'Alene. Carol worked as an accountant for various businesses in Spokane from 1949-1990. They are both retired.

Their children are Doug and wife Karen Kircher of Coeur d'Alene, and Cheri and husband John LaMunyon of Sammamish, Wash. They have four granddaughters, Andrea Gorder, Dana Gorder, Mariah Kircher and Rachel Kircher.

An open house for family and friends was held Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at Ben and Carol's home on Kidd Island Bay. Their children and spouses hosted the celebration. Family and friends attended including their best man, Don James of Coeur d'Alene and maid of honor, Joyce (Stone) Eldred of Sagle.

WEDDING

While-Clark

Cassandra While and Ryan Clark were united in marriage July 27, 2014, at French Gulch Farm and Garden in Kingston. Pastor Matthew Young officiated the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Cassandra is the daughter of Charlie and Carla While. Ryan is the son of Gary Clark and Cathy Clark.

Cassandra graduated from Lake City High School in 2011 and currently is a senior at the University of Idaho studying physics and mathematics. Ryan graduated from Lake City High School in 2011 and currently is a student at Lewis-Clark State College studying nursing.

The wedding party included: Maid of honor Amanda Williams of Bozeman, Mont.; bridesmaids, Kylie Johnson of Coeur d'Alene, Hayden Sutton of Camas, Wash., Erica Albertson of Boise and Aubrey Wright of Fruitland; best man Cody Lopez of Rupert; groomsmen, Chris Weir of Coeur d'Alene, Ian Thie of Moscow, Jace Westcott of Richland, Wash., and Jesse Hart of Idaho.

The newlyweds will reside in Moscow.

BIRTHS

Teagan Lynn Bartoo was born at 1:21 a.m. June 24, 2014, to Kelsey (Brastrup) and Josh Bartoo of Hayden. She weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces and was 19.25 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Gary and Frances Brastrup. Paternal grandparents are Kayleen and Les Florey, and Gary and Amy Bartoo.

Wyatt Louis Edmonds was born at 7:36 a.m. July 22, 2014, to Erin and Taylor Edmonds of Coeur d'Alene. He weighed 7 pounds, 2.4 ounces and was 20 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Kelly and Roger Crabtree. Paternal grandparents are Caryn and Jon Edmonds.

MILITARY

Scott W. Campbell has graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as "Operation Warrior Forge," at Fort Knox, Ky.

He is a 2011 graduate of Lakeland Senior High School, Rathdrum.

Alexander C. Banks has graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as "Operation Warrior Forge," at Fort Knox, Ky.

Banks is the son of Marrion E. Newsam Banks of Athol.

MISSIONARY

Leah Langdon, 19, of Coeur d'Alene, has been called to serve an 18-month mission to the Mexico Pachuca Mission. She is the daughter of Jim Langdon of Coeur d'Alene and Lisa Irving of Hayden. She will enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, on Sept. 3, 2014.

Leah graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 2013 and has been attending Utah State University, with a major in biological engineering.

She also worked for Utah State University doing undergraduate research for the Department of Environmental and Civil Engineering: Conducting research along the Bear River, measuring water flow, pressure and temperature, effects of stream bank vegetation on water flow and effects of human caused inflows and diversions on water flow. Leah also did undergraduate research for the Department of Agricultural Systems Technology and Education measuring nitrogen and phosphate levels in agricultural-based water and soil samples, measuring ammonium levels from manure and urine samples of cows and the effects of different fertilizers/chemicals on Medusa Head (a noxious weed).

Leah looks forward to serving the people of Mexico and helping to bring them closer to Christ through His restored gospel.
