BREAKFAST: A heartfelt thanks

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who made our annual Northern Lakes Fire District Firefighters Benevolence Fund pancake breakfast a great success! With the support of the community stopping by for a wonderful breakfast to the many amazing businesses and residents giving their time and generous donations, we raised over $1,700 for the fund with 100 percent of all monies raised going directly to the account.

The Northern Lakes Fire District uses the funds to help families in our District who have experienced an emergency where our help can meet some of their immediate needs. Past uses of the fund have included assistance for those affected by fire, helping disabled individuals with needed house repairs, purchasing of carbon monoxide and smoke detectors for those unable to afford them, along with many other unique emergency situations.

The following groups, businesses and individuals truly were the reason for this year's success: Hayden Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scout Troop 911, members of NLFPD administration, commissioners and Local 4045, Burke's Kleins DKI, Longwell Trapp Architects, Pau Pau's Kitchen, Empire Airlines, Avondale Golf Club, Super 1, Costco, Lake City Rental, Midway Restaurant Supply, The Blue Plate, Sargent's Restaurant, and residents donating directly to the fund.

We look forward to seeing you next year! If you have any questions or wish to contribute to the benevolence fund, stop by our office at 125 West Hayden Ave. or call us at (208) 772-5711.

Very sincerely,

FIRE CHIEF DEAN S. MARCUS
