Inland Select wins Series opener

OCALA, Fla. - The Inland Select team, a 14-and under Babe Ruth team made up of players from the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene area, beat Ottumwa 11-1 in five innings in the opening round of the Babe Ruth World Series on Friday afternoon.

Inland Select, representing the Pacific Northwest, will face Mount Olive, N.J., today.
