| August 12, 2014 9:00 PM

Nina Maxine Conn, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully Aug. 1, 2014.

Nina was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Plummer, Idaho, to Samuel Pierce and Edith Wiltse Pierce. She grew up on her family's "80 acres" in Hope, Idaho. Nina rode a horse-drawn school bus to school and the family pet was a deer that stayed nearby.

Nina married Jack Davidson on Dec. 21, 1942. They had two children, Jack Davidson Jr. and Carol Sue Davidson. The couple divorced in 1957.

On Oct. 18, 1957, Nina married William "Bub" Conn Jr., and she was instantly the proud mother of William "Mike" Conn, Lynda Conn and Dennis "Bryan" Conn. Later, Ronnie Conn and Jon Conn were added to the family. Seven children kept her quite busy, but she and Bub built a close, happy family.

Nina was a member of the Clarkfork Pinochle Club and Homemakers Club. She raced Powder Puff at the Sandpoint Race Track where she received a trophy for first place in 1954.

Nina was preceded in death by husbands Jack Davidson and William Conn; siblings Colleen Hunt, Nancy Singleton, Margie Pierce, Robert Pierce and Sylvia Pierce; and grandson Jack Davidson III. She is survived by siblings William Pierce and Beverly Pennington; children Jackie Davidson (Cetta), Carol Sue Saunders (Larry), Mike Conn (Debbie), Lynda Conn, Bryan Conn (Barbara Derr-Thomas), Ronnie Conn (Laurie Howard) and Jon Conn (Lynnette); 28 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She lived a long and happy life, and touched the hearts of many people. Nina's life was full of love for her children and their families, and we will love and miss her forever.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Legends Park Assisted Living, Heritage House, Kootenai Health, Hospice of North Idaho, and Life Care Center of Post Falls for their care and compassion to both Nina and her family.

A memorial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at Coffelt Funeral Home in Sandpoint, Idaho; burial to follow at the Clarkfork Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to sign Nina's online guest book at www.coffeltfuneral.com. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
