Big inning sparks Indians

SPOKANE - Eduard Pinto hit a two-run single on a bad hop, as part of an eight-run fourth inning Friday night, which boosted the Spokane Indians to a 10-1 win over the Everett AquaSox in a Northwest League game in front of 6,023 at Avista Stadium.

Josh Morgan added an RBI single in the inning for Spokane. Seth Spivey went 1 for 2 with two RBIs and Diego Cedeno went 3 for 4 with two runs scored.

In the big inning, the Indians (5-10 second half) had five hits, reached on three walks, three errors, two wild pitches and one passed ball.

Andrew Barnett earned the win for Spokane, allowing one run on three hits while striking out nine over five innings.

Luiz Gohara took the loss for the AquaSox (8-7), allowing six earned runs on seven hits over 3 1/3 innings.

The Indians wrap up their three-game series with Everett tonight at 6:30 at Avista Stadium before traveling to Everett to start another three-game set on Sunday.
