Jane M. Brown, 77

Jane M. Brown passed away on Aug. 1, 2014 after a valiant struggle with brain cancer.

Jane was born on May 18, 1937, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to Helen and Trig Johnson. She spent her life in this area, and graduated from Coeur d'Alene High School in 1954.

Jane made her career as a bookkeeper and was also a devoted volunteer at Kootenai Health Center. She stayed active raising her children and enjoying her grandson. With an incredible green thumb, her home and grounds were always immaculately groomed and blossoming.

In her free time, Jane was an avid golfer, and also enjoyed bowling, square dancing, and getting lost in a good book. She was quite the card player as well. Jane was always one to appreciate traveling around the Northwest and Mexico, interested in different sights and experiences.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Trig, and brother, Keith Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Toni Beck; her son, Brian Beck; and her grandson, Matthew Beck.
