Lessor takes pole for Idaho 200

POST FALLS - Alex Lessor of Kalispell, Mont., grabbed the pole for tonight's Idaho 200 Super Late Model race at Stateline Speedway by winning the fast qualifiers heat race on Friday night, holding off three-time Idaho 200 champ Gary Lewis of Snohomish, Wash.

Lessor was the fast qualifier via his 13.290-second effort.

Shelby Thompson of Spokane will start third tonight, followed by Nicole Behar of Otis Orchards, Joey Bird of Spokane and Ryan Wells of Hingham, Mont.

Other locals racing tonight include Braeden Havens of Airway Heights (ninth), Dave Garber of Spokane (13th), Dan Garber of Spokane (17th) and Justin Popple of Spokane (18th).

Garrett Evans, the 2012 Idaho 200 winner, will start 10th.

Opening ceremonies for the Idaho 200 start tonight at 7:15.
