Jim Forno, 75

Jim Forno, 75, passed away Feb. 1, 2014.

Jim was born March 19, 1938, in Endicott, N.Y., to James Erman Forno and Dorothy Forno. He moved to San Jose, Calif. when he was 14. After graduating from high school, Jim joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War.

Following his military service, Jim opened car dealerships in the San Francisco Bay area. He then lived in Santa Cruz, Calif. where he met his wife, Deborah Kemp. He married Deborah and moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in 1993 and was a top-selling real estate agent for four states.

In 2012 Jim moved to Beverly Hills, Calif., to support his daughter's acting career. He loved watching his daughter, Savannah, perform in the Coeur d'Alene Summer Theater and Ballet School of Coeur d'Alene productions. Jim also loved football, and was a high school coach at one time. His other favorite hobby was boating on Lake Coeur d'Alene with his family.

Jim is survived by his wife, Deborah, and daughter, Savannah, at home; sons Mark (Patty) Forno of Watsonville, Calif., and Jay Forno of Santa Cruz, Calif.; daughter Suzanne (Cunyet) Baycan of Santa Cruz, Calif.; sisters Sandy (Dave) Hansen and Patty Forno; brother Bobby (Nancy) Forno; grandchildren Richard (Gabriella) Forno, Marcus Forno and Kristen (John) Forno; great-grandchild Gracie Forno; mother-in-law Roberta Dube; brother-in-laws Greg Kemp and David (Maggie) Kemp; sister-in-law Kristen (Tony) Lopes; many loving nieces and nephews; and his best friends, Jimmy and Judy Head.

A Celebration of Life is planned for 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at Le Peep Cafe, 1884 Bellerive Lane (Riverstone on the water), in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. All are welcome.
