BOISE (AP) - The Miss Caldwell Night Rodeo Queen and the former Boise State University Bronco girl who, on game days, rode out ahead of the football team on a horse, has been charged with grand theft.

Chelsi Ann Horton, 23, of Kuna turned herself in to the Ada County Jail on Wednesday and was released on $10,000 bond.

Ada County Sheriff's Office detectives say Horton embezzled $22,000 while working as a bookkeeper for a company based in Canyon County.

Detectives say she paid herself more than her salary between November 2012 and October 2013.

Detectives also say Horton may have deposited checks meant for other businesses to her personal account.

Authorities issued an arrest warrant last week.

She's scheduled to appear in court Aug. 20.
