LEGION BASEBALL: Prairie ousted in 2 at state

LEWISTON - The Prairie Cardinals' season ended Thursday in a loser-out game at the Class AA American Legion baseball tournament on Thursday at Harris Field, which saw the Twin Falls Cowboys beat Prairie 11-1.

No report was received from the Cardinals, who went 0-2 at state and finished 25-24.

In other games Thursday, the Boise Gems beat the Nampa Chiefs 19-14 to advance to a winners bracket final tonight at 7 vs. the Idaho Falls Bandits, who beat the Lewis-Clark Twins 7-4. Lewis-Clark plays Twin Falls today at 4. The Meridian Rangers, who eliminated the Mountain View Toros 14-1, play Nampa at 1 p.m. in the losers bracket.
