CityPoll seeks input

| August 1, 2014 9:00 PM

COEUR d'ALENE - A new online service encourages Coeur d'Alene residents to take a simple poll on important city issues, events, services and programs in the community.

It will launch today.

CityPoll will provide city leaders with important information on how citizens feel about a wide range of topics. Residents can respond to a monthly poll question by visiting www.cdaid.org/citypoll.

One vote per household per month will be recorded, a city press release said. Notification of the program will be included in monthly municipal utility billing statements.

City officials will monitor responses and use the results as a strategic planning tool to ensure the city is providing optimum service to its citizens.

CityPoll supplements existing opportunities for the public to engage with the city. If citizens wish to add a comment on a poll question or on any other topic, they are encouraged to visit the city's Facebook page and leave a message.

There is also an opportunity to leave a message for the mayor or ask the city a question. Links to all these sites can be found at cdaid.org.

Residents who would like to submit a question for CityPoll may do so by contacting Keith Erickson at kerickson@cdaid.org.
